Heiderose H. Hackworth has demonstrated exceptional dedication to her profession, earning her master’s degree in ESL from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in French and German, with a Minor in City Geography, from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. Additionally, she has Teacher Certification from Wesleyan University in Virginia.
As Department Chair, Heiderose oversees the World Language department and instructs students in French and German up to the AP level. Her commitment to excellence has been recognized with numerous accolades, including Career Status Teacher, 2001 Foreign Language Teacher of the Year at Virginia Beach City Public Schools, and several Runner Up titles for Green Run Virginia Beach High School Teacher of the Year.
Beyond her professional achievements, Heiderose is an active member of the German Club, where she shares her passion for the German language and culture with her students and community. In her free time, Heiderose enjoys a variety of hobbies, including architecture and design, landscaping her own yard, painting and drawing, ballet dancing, participating in art of the month activities, listening to classical music, exploring horticulture, and indulging in cooking and baking.
